Most of us remember kaleidoscopes from our childhoods but the first one was invented by Sir David Brewster in 1916. The name is based on three words from ancient Greek; 'Kalos' meaning beautiful, 'Eidos' meaning form and 'Scopos' meaning watcher.
This kit provides you with everything you need to build your own kaleidoscope. You can also add your own artwork to the outside of the kaleidoscope to personalise it.
